No-link ad round up ~ Campbell’s Soup, Kraft Live Active Cheese, and Citizens Ukulele Banking
Three noteworthy ads are bouncing around television this week. I have searched for copies of them online, but have had no luck yet.
First off, there’s Campbell’s soup, which is advertising their new sea salt alternatives with sea imagery apparently from this Oregon lighthouse. I’ve always felt like sodium chloride was sodium chloride, but I guess there are other minerals and things that supposedly make sea salt better for you. Either that, or we just want to sprinkle more of the sea into our everyday lives. Also, apparently the ancient Greek word “sea” actually meant “salt,” not that Wikipedia is the best source for all knowledge. The Online Etymology Dictionary provides few additional clues. We may still be on to something here.
Secondly, following off of our trademarked bacteria post “There’s no gastrointestinal distress in paradise,” Kraft has a new cheese out called Live Active that is being marketed with more beach scenes. This new ad and product only adds to what I said in the prior post.
Finally, Citizens Bank has a new ad out that features different shirts with name tags and the like. Not only is one of the shirts look an awful lot like an aloha shirt a tropical bead necklace, as seen here…

…but the music in the background is also being played on the ukulele.
Be sure to check out Taimane Gardner under the “yellow” flower section in the Colors of Autumn in Hawaii link on that post, or go directly there. She pronounces the word correctly.

[...] lighthouse architecture, it would be hard to know if this lighthouse is in North Carolina, Maine, Oregon, or my living room. It’s totally beautiful, but nowhere as eye catching as underwear [...]
