Nothing communicates political scandal faster than a journalist wearing half a bikini
Nothing communicates political scandal faster than a half-naked woman in a bikini. This week, it’s happening in Brazil. According to the Merco Press, journalist Monica Veloso posed recently for Playboy and revealed wrongdoings by her former lover Senate President Renan Calheiros. Merco writes:
The Senator and close ally of President Lula da Silva allegedly paid for the pension of their daughter through a public works government contractor. He faces corruption charges although under strong lobbying from the Lula da Silva administration has so far managed to overcome the first challenges.
The power of the bikini is real. It’s nuclear if you will. The word "bikini" itself comes from the Bikini Atoll where nuclear testing took place decades ago in the Marshall Islands of the Pacific. The designers of the bikini chose the word to communicate the humongous force behind the mega shift if fashion. Its power lives on.
See the power of half of one here at the article, which includes a (non-nude) photo of Mônica Veloso.
