Plentyoffish in the sea ~ and money in the wallet
We’ve all heard the saying that "there are plenty of fish in the sea," but did you know that there is a free dating website called plentyoffish.com that operates with only two people at the helm and earns thousands per day in ad revenues? This is according to the post at Read/WriteWeb. Richard MacManus writes in his post: "Markus [the founder of Plentyoffish] told me that per page view, Plentyoffish has 5-10 times the click through rate of Facebook." Could this little dating site be worth $1 billion? I recommend heading over to the Read/WriteWeb for all the details. This business model seems like it is probably pretty great for all parties. I’m guessing that once they have a visual overhaul of their site that the Match.com and the others will be running scared if they aren’t already.
