Rapidsea is two months old today

In the same vein as our Atlantic magazine happy anniversary post, the much younger Rapidsea blog is two months old today. It’s 168 posts strong and growing. The RSS subscriptions are all over the place, mostly because people don’t really know what to expect I’m sure (sorry if you left because you were offended by anything). If you’re new to the blog, please take a look around for a bit and leave comments to help make it better. The topics are broad, but our purpose well defined: document how images of water, escape, and paradise are used to influence our everyday lives.

Welcome to the new visitors, and thank you to those who have been here along the way. Feel free to continue to email any ideas you have or just post comments. Rest assured that your email address will never be published or used beyond its intended purpose in your message or comment. Thanks again!

Finally, somebody asked this week, “What does ‘Rapidsea’ mean exactly?” It’s actually an anagram of “paradise.”
