Cigar-smoking penguins

I’m guessing that these penguins are supposed to indicate that it’s winter time (at least in the northern hemisphere), but they otherwise make no sense (click to enlarge):

This web page is from the company that brought us the worst print ad of the year.  You can see the same creepy guy in the lower right-hand corner literally burning money and looking like a total loan shark.

There’s an extensive rant on warm-weather vs. cold-weather penguins and an indictment of penguin panties here.  Using penguins to sell cigars is a classic example of advertising that jumps the shark.  Austria used an almost identical approach to market tourism to the country.
