Honolulu Marathon Winners

The winners of the 2007 Honolulu Marathon have been announced:

Women’s Race

1st – Alvetina Biktimirova of Russia (2:33:07)

2nd – Akemi-Isige Ozaki of Japan (02:34:21)

3rd – Tatiana Petrova of Russia (02:35:55)

4th – Kaori Yoshida of Japan (02:43:20)

5th – Mina Ogawa of Japan (02:47:28)

 

Men’s Race

1st – Ambesse Tolossa of Ethiopia (2:17:26 – slower than 2:13:42 last year)

2nd – Jimmy Muindi of Kenya (2:18:53)

3rd – Eric Mzioki of Kenya (02:21:32)

4th – Boniface Mbuvi of Kenya (02:22:59)

5th – Aleksei Aleksandrov of Russia (02:24:36)

 

If you’re going to run a marathon, there are probably few better cities to do it in than Honolulu — one of the top 10 liveable cities according to the International Herald Tribune.
