Mitt Romney Meets the Flip Flops

Whether you hate politics or not, you might find it interesting that Tim Russert pulled out a pair of flip flops on camera this weekend while interviewing Mitt Romney and confronted him on some of the issues that he has changed his mind on over the years.  Who knew the beachwear item would end up having such a tremendous impact as a political prop?  Well, we did, of course.  Meet the Press has evolved tremendously in its visuals.  Never has the Capitol looked so beachy.  Here’s a still:

Trend prediction: mismatched flip flops will be all the rage this next summer.
