Sony Bravia ~ bunnies wave to a whale

I didn’t expect this Sony Bravia bunny commercial to resurface this year, but Wired has posted it as one of "The 10 Best Gadget Ads of 2007":

 

The weird part is that when I originally watched this I figured that it was a bunny ad that would probably have no significance to the Rapidsea cause (even though I generally assume the opposite).  Then, all of the sudden, the bunnies turn into a wave in an urban square, which then turns into a whale before finally becoming just one really big bunny.

Someone please tell me why a bunny pixel commercial would suddenly turn into an ocean wave and whale.

I like Microsoft’s Zune II voxel commercial better, which also made Wired’s list.
