Tempur-Pedic ~ rainforest ready
If you’re looking to outfit your rainforest tent with a mattress, you may want to choose Tempur-Pedic with all of its waterproofing and its ability to repel pooling rainwater by expelling the frequent puddles of the tropics up and off the bed. I don’t know about you, but I can’t sleep next to waterfalls. I get cold from the mist, and the noise makes me want to bury my head in the pillow. Anyhow, this is still my dream bed:

If you’re going to splurge in life, go for a great bed, a great office chair (unless you’re lucky enough to work outdoors), and a quality razor. If you go with the Tempur-Pedic, you can even store your wine glasses on it while you sleep; they won’t tip over even if you’re restless if you believe the television commercials.
Mattress ads are essential to the Rapidsea cause because, for decades, we have been told that buying one mattress over another is like the difference between sleeping next to the rolling surf or sleeping on a bench at a turnpike convenience store. Remember the Hastens and Simmons ads?
So with everyone following the same path of images, what’s the solution to help your product really stand out among the crowd of products? Well, Tempur-Pedic may have solved their own dilemma with this image:

Pardon the pun, but that handprint is the lasting impression that people leave a store with when they have explored the Tempur-Pedic. Play it up.
How amazing would a series of ads be that focused on putting various symbols of people sleeping. Or if they still wanted to stick with their escapist travel through sleeping well (which we don’t recommend), they could have simple imprints of things like exotic plants or animals — maybe bird tracks. How much more memorable would it be to see the rainforest scene imprinted in the mattress instead of as a photograph?
If they wanted to get slightly silly, they could do the impression of a person sleeping in the fetal position with a small pool next to the face, with a caption like, "When was the last time you had a drooly good night’s sleep." They could also do people’s facial expressions pressed into the bed, somewhat like a snow angel with a huge smile.
