The Airbus A380 green campaign goes on ~ Telegraph says it’s not so green after all

First discussed in the Rapidsea "why does the Airbus A380 look like a dolphin?" post, Airbus’s environmental ads are still being pushed around for the super jumbo — yes, the one that can hold over 500 passengers.

The most recent ads that I have come across were on CNN International’s website.  They were the "Cleaner" island ones from this series:

What was supposed to be the "golden age of air travel," Airbus somehow missed the marketing theme change and has been playing catch up to the hype behind Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner.  In the meantime, the UK Telegraph released an article on how the A380 might not be as green as Airbus is trying to portray it.  One of the funnier comments from the article is a caption to one of the photos in the article’s gallery: "Just pray your pilot knows what he’s doing."

At least if any airline can do the A380 up right, it’s Singapore.  They have the first ones coming off the assembly lines — 300 miles of wire and all.
