The Fatamaran ~ an ‘eco’ boat run on human fat
The recession has apparently hit the folks at the London Fight Club: they’re abandoning their lipid-transforming soap production. The new great use of human liposuction fat is for fuel for your trimaran!
I couldn’t make this stuff up, so here’s the link with several photos that you’re going to need to see. Here’s a sneak peek:

According to the article, Pete Bethune and his wife "mortgaged their house and sold everything they own to help the project happen…." Wow, my priorities are so different. Can you imagine traveling with 3,000 gallons of "fuel" surrounding you? This one is beyond words. Get liposuction! It’s good for the environment. Bethune himself had the procedure done for Mother Earth.
Anyway, they’re sailing this baby around the world in an attempt to set a speed record.
April headline prediction: "GM announces their new Fatmobile."
