Planet Green ~ levitating at the beach

The people over at Discovery Communications LLC have come up with a novel concept.  It’s called floating above the sand on the beach to avoid the microbes:

You wouldn’t want to borrow the resort’s beach towels anyway.

This banner was on the home page of the blog TreeHugger linking to their environmental sister site Planet Green.  Does anybody know what levitating over the sand on the beach has to do with a green planet?

Apart from this cheesy banner, the two sites have very designs.
